30×42 engineering plan printing — $3.00 per sheet
We print 30″ × 42″ civil and engineering plans and ship them the same day when you order before 12:00 PM Eastern on a business day. Black-and-white on 20# bond is $3.00 per sheet; color line work is $8.00 per sheet and heavy-coverage color (renderings, colored elevations, filled site plans — ink on 12%+ of the sheet, or any rendering or photo about 3 × 3 in or larger) is $12.95 per sheet, detected page by page after upload. B&W heavy coverage is $5.95 per sheet for grey-scale ink on 15%+ of the sheet — a rendering, photo or shaded presentation board; line-work plan, detail and notes sheets stay at $3.00. UPS Ground is $15 flat and free over $100, and 10% comes off automatically at 25+ sheets of the same size. No account, no minimum order, and no setup, file or rush fees.
Thirty by forty-two is the civil and site-engineering standard. If your drawings are at engineering scale — 1″ = 20′, 1″ = 40′ — and cover grading, utilities, drainage or stormwater, this is the sheet they belong on.

When to use 30×42
- Civil, site and grading plans
- Utility and stormwater drawings
- NJDEP and CAFRA submissions
- Planning-board and county engineering sets
Scale accuracy matters most on civil drawings, because reviewers measure off them. We print at 1:1 with "fit to page" off, and check the output against a scale rule before it ships.
Export the PDF at 30″ × 42″ rather than letting the plotter scale it — that single setting causes most of the scale problems we see.

Questions
How much does it cost to print 30x42 engineering plans?
$3.00 per plan sheet in black-and-white on 20# bond ($5.95 for a B&W rendering or photo covering a large part of the sheet), $8.00 in color on line work and $12.95 for color renderings, with 10% off at 25 or more sheets of the same size. UPS Ground is $15 flat and free over $100.
Will my civil plans print to the correct scale?
Yes. We print at 1:1 with scaling turned off, so a drawing at 1″ = 40′ measures at 1″ = 40′ on the paper. We check the output against a scale rule before shipping, and we guarantee it — if a sheet comes out off-scale because of us, we reprint it free or refund it.
What sizes do civil engineering plans use?
30″ × 42″ is the most common size for civil and site work in the Northeast. 24″ × 36″ (ARCH D) and 36″ × 48″ (ARCH E) are also used, and ANSI D (22″ × 34″) appears on some government and DOT projects. We print all of them.
