Spec book & submittal printing
The project manual is half the bid package and all of the contract. We print it letter-size, coil-bound, clean, and ship it in the same box as the drawings.
What we print
- Project manuals / spec books — 40 to 600+ pages, letter, B&W with color pages where the spec has them
- Submittal packages — product data, shop drawings at ledger, samples sheets, transmittals
- O&M and closeout manuals — often 3-ring punched rather than bound so the owner can add to them
- Geotechnical reports, environmental reports, appendices — bound with the manual or separately
- Half-size drawing sets at 11 × 17 to accompany the manual
Binding options
- Coil (spiral) bound — clear front cover, black back, lies flat. The default for spec books.
- 3-hole punched — for binders; owner manuals and anything that grows.
- Stapled — short documents under ~40 pages.
- Tabs — divider tabs by CSI division on request; note it in the order.
Ships with the drawings
Upload the manual as its own item on the same order as the drawing set. It ships in the same box, same tracking number, same day if ordered by noon ET. For bid distributions, we band one manual with each drawing set.

Frequently asked questions
Single- or double-sided?
Spec books are usually double-sided to halve the thickness; tell us in the notes. Submittals that get marked up are often single-sided. Default is single-sided unless you say otherwise.
Can you mix color pages into a B&W manual?
Yes. Upload one PDF; note the color page numbers (or we detect obvious full-color pages). Color pages bill at the color rate, the rest at B&W.
How thick can a coil binding go?
Up to about 2 inches / 450–500 letter pages per volume. Larger manuals split into Volume 1 and Volume 2.
Do you print ledger-size shop drawings?
Yes — 11 × 17 at $0.35 B&W, folded in half to letter if you want them in the manual, or flat.
