Scale is the whole job
A reviewer puts an engineer's scale on the plan and reads a 25-foot setback. If the print is 6% small, the setback reads 23.5 feet and the plan looks non-compliant. Color where it carries information
Wetland delineations, flood zones, phasing plans, and utility color-coding are worth printing in color on the sheets that need it. Everything else on B&W 20#. Mix per sheet on one order — upload the color sheets as a separate item.

Frequently asked questions
What sheet size for a site plan?
30 × 42 is the civil workhorse — it fits more site at 1″ = 20′ than ARCH D without going to ARCH E. ARCH E (36 × 48) for large parcels or when the municipality requires it. We print both at the same per-sheet structure.
Can you print at 1″ = 20′ accurately?
Scale is set in your CAD file, not at the plotter. If the PDF is exported at 1:1 at the correct page size, the engineering scale is preserved exactly. We verify the first sheet with a scale rule.
How many copies for a planning board hearing?
Varies by municipality — 10 to 20 sets is common in NJ for a full board plus staff plus the applicant. Confirm with the board secretary. Volume pricing kicks in at 25 sheets per size, so board sets almost always qualify.
Do you print surveys on mylar?
On request — email info@ecblueprints.com with size and count for a quote. Most surveys go out on standard 20# bond.
