Blueprint printing for Washington, DC — next business day by UPS Ground

Order ARCH C, ARCH D, ARCH E or 30″×42″ by noon Eastern and it ships the same afternoon, arriving in the District the next business morning by standard UPS Ground — $2.00 a 24×36 sheet, no rush fee.

Why DC firms print with us

DC architecture and engineering runs on deadlines set by other people — DOB review cycles, federal bid dates, Commission of Fine Arts and HPRB submissions, owner meetings. A printer that tells you exactly when a set will arrive, and hits it, is worth more than one that's a few blocks away and busy.

Downtown reprographics counters price for the rent. We price for the plotter: $2.00 for a 24×36 black-and-white sheet, $4.75 in color — and color is billed only on the pages that actually contain it.

Distributing to multiple bidders or consultants? One order ships complete sets to up to 20 addresses across the region, each with its own tracking number.

What we print for DC projects

  • DOB permit sets for the Department of Buildings — printed at issued size, in the copy count you specify
  • Federal bid sets for GSA, Architect of the Capitol, Smithsonian, DC Public Schools and agency work
  • Historic-district submissions for HPRB and the Commission of Fine Arts, in color where the drawings need it
  • Multi-family and mixed-use CD sets for Navy Yard, NoMa, the Wharf and Union Market
  • Civil and utility plans at 30×42 for DC Water and DDOT review
  • Spec books and project manuals, coil bound, shipped in the same box as the drawings

Washington, DC–specific questions

How fast can I get a plan set in DC?

Order by noon Eastern and it arrives the next business day by standard UPS Ground. No air upgrade needed.

Do you print for DC Department of Buildings submissions?

We print at the issued sheet size on 20# bond in whatever copy count the reviewer requires. DOB is largely digital through ProjectDox, with hard copies for specific reviews — confirm the current requirement with DOB or your expediter and we will match it.

Can you ship one bid set to each GC?

Yes. Enter each bidder as a separate address at checkout — up to 20 on one order — and each box gets its own tracking number and packing slip.

Is there a DC surcharge?

No. The per-sheet price is the same everywhere we ship, and Ground shipping is flat $15, free over $100.
