How much do blueprints cost to print?
Printing a 24×36 (ARCH D) blueprint costs $2.00 a sheet in black and white with East Coast Blueprints, $1.25 for 18×24, $3.00 for 30×42 and $2.99 for 36×48, with 10% off at 25 sheets and free UPS Ground over $100. Big-box counters publish $4.50 (Staples) to $6.99 (FedEx Office) for a 24×36, and UPS Store prices are set by each location.
Worked total
24-sheet ARCH D set, one copy, B&W. Computed from the same price list checkout uses.
| 24 sheets × $2.00 (ARCH D, B&W) | $48.00 |
| UPS Ground | $15.00 |
| Total, delivered | $63.00 |
The sheet size sets the price. Large-format printing is priced by area, so a 36×48 costs about one and a half times a 24×36 and an 18×24 a little over half. ARCH D (24×36) is the standard plan-set sheet and the number most people mean when they ask.
Color is billed only where it appears. A color page with line work is $4.75 at ARCH D; a rendering or filled site plan is $8.95. On a mostly black-and-white set with a few color sheets, only those sheets pay the color rate. Black-and-white has a heavy rate too: $3.95 for grey-scale ink on 15%+ of the sheet — a rendering, photo or shaded presentation board. Ordinary line-work plan sheets stay at $2.00.
Copies and volume. Every copy multiplies the sheets, and the discount counts the total: 10% at 25+, 15% at 100+, 20% at 250+. Three copies of a 30-sheet set is 90 sheets, which passes the first tier.
What others charge. Published 24×36 prices we checked: Staples about $4.50, FedEx Office $6.99, and two UPS Store locations at $2.65 and $9.54 (each UPS Store sets its own). Local reprographics shops usually quote $2.50–$5 a sheet. See the side-by-side comparisons.

Retail counters price large format as a walk-in convenience, and many charge per square foot. A specialist that runs plan sets all day prices per sheet and ships. The paper (20# bond) and the toner are the same.
Is there a setup fee or minimum?
No. No setup, file, rush or minimum-order fees. One sheet is $2.00 plus $15 UPS Ground.
How much is a full house plan set?
A typical residential permit set is 10–20 sheets at 24×36, so roughly $20–$40 printed in black and white, plus $15 Ground (free over $100).
